It’s a two-fer on today’s Lunchbox: for the first half-hour, I talked with our show-of-the-month host, Adrian Park, about his classical music program Diversions, and we talk about the fundaments of classical music and opera in anticipation of his 14th Summer Opera Series.

And in the second half-hour, the studio is invaded by fairies! Kiwi the Fairy stops by, and Jaclyn Reinhart (host of The Velvet Lounge) and Tim (station manager, host of East Coast Stream and Instant Breakfast) join us! We talk fairies, creativity, crossover projects and sandwiches at The Hard Rock.

Joel, Marc, and Richard look back at those great cartoons from the 80’s and early 90’s.  Richard drops some great trivia about various voice actors.  Richard and Joel compete to see who can recognize the most intro music clips.

Background

This is the first episode in which we had three people on the show.  Since the CHSR studio we were recording in did not accommodate  more than two people, Joel and Richard had to sit in a separate studio with headsets so that we could all speak to each other.  Marc stayed in the main studio with the controls and could see Joel and Richard through a soundproof window.
