The Lunchbox Interview: Les B’Old Hags

Posted on 2018-05-22 by encaf1 Posted in The Lunchbox

We spend so much of our lives getting older — shouldn’t we enjoy it when we make it there?

My guests today are Margaret (Patricia Eaton), Patricia (Winans), Jaclyn (LeBlanc) and Diane (Ryan), members of an art collective called Les B’Old Hags. They have a multi-media exhibition coming to the UNB Art Centre on May 25, and join me to talk about the motivations of age for art, their themes in the exhibition (ranging from emptiness to humour) and how we need to appreciate and enjoy life more and more as we get older.

Overtime with K and Crox (05-11-18)

Posted on 2018-05-14 by Overtime Posted in Overtime

Johnny James continues to join me in studio to help us break down the continuing Stanley Cup Playoffs.  Yes, just me, because Sean had to go get a “job”… in Moncton.

In addition we discuss our feelings about Dwayne Casey, who we firmly believe shouldn’t be fired.  (Note:  He was fired after airing, all 3 of us agree it’s a stupid decision)

We also talk about how Canadian Tennis is relevant again.

All this and all the hot takes you can handle on Overtime!

The Lunchbox Interview: Sarah Sarty (Photography)

Posted on 2018-05-11 by encaf1 Posted in The Lunchbox

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so when a photographer takes a picture, it is their chance to capture that beauty for others, to turn a moment of time into forever.

My guest today is Sarah Sarty, a local photographer of beautiful, stark images. She is going to be giving an exhibition of her work in The Phoenix on May 18, and joins me today to talk about her desire to return to photography after an absence, what she sees in her pictures and how she captures moments.
