The Lunchbox Interview 2021-11-30: TUNB’s Metamorphoses

Posted on 2021-11-30 by encaf1 Posted in The Lunchbox

Today, I had a chance to sit down (virtually) with the grand poobah of theatre Len Falkenstein along with Zerach Kearney and Michelle Osier, two of the actors in the upcoming Theatre UNB production of Metamorphoses. We discuss this modern adaptation of the collection of classic mythical tales, doing theatre in the round, and how they have built a pool!

Metamorphoses opens on Thursday, December 2 at 7:30pm, on stage at Memorial Hall at UNB, and runs Friday and Saturday nights.

RFYL Episode – RandomizerEP189

Posted on 2021-11-26 by Matt Nightingale Posted in Run For Your Life!

Run For Your Life! – the psychobilly rock show of zombie sharks
It feels like a staple at this point, but HELLO and welcome to a brand new episode of Run For Your Life. On today’s episode, we feature a fun method of me setting up my playlist through a few different randomizers. It’s fun. It’s exciting. It’s still as awesome as ever – is it little more than just a very robust playlist with shuffle on? Yes, just barely!

Anyway, we have some new stuff, some “old classics” (?), and otherwise just some amazing things to spin for you to give you some shelter from the onslaught of the radio waves. Don’t worry, we don’t even parody carols here.

Enjoy the tunes. Or don’t.

Playlist:
Fossils – Deaf Radio
Black & Red – Reignwolf
Butcher – The Standstills
Wild Fires – The JB Conspiracy
Punk Two – Like A Motorcycle
Seven Seas – Kilmore
Stranger – Black Mastiff
In The Storm – Thera
Circles – Powder for Pigeons
No Masters, No Gods – Infrared
Make Me Sick – Worst Part
Return To Me / Legacy – Unleash The Archers
Atom Shell – That Handsome Devil

Run For Your Life! – the psychobilly rock show of zombie sharks
Somehow it’s already Friday. You’ve done it! Now you have a playlist to get you through the final leg of the day. Or the first leg. Or some sort of leg .. the centipede-leg of the day.

Look, I don’t come up with the analogies here. Sometimes I don’t do anything but write minor variances of things that I’ve been doing for the last ten years. How many more times can I say “buy music to support bands, listen to good music and play music loud”?

I guess I just did that. Do that.

Playlist:
Great Divide – Grand Electric
Model Society – Deaf Radio
Lights Out! – Dead Sara [Official]
A Lonely Chord – Tsunami Bomb
Social Waste – Cellar Twins
Never Say Goodbye – Nightingale – Music & Videos
Killer – Ruby the Hatchet
Deathwish – Striker
Under The Sun – Shumaun
Through Stars – Unleash The Archers
