RFYL Episode – ValiantSteedEP159
I will first address the elephant in the room: This playlist is shorter than many in the past. The reason for that is we have started to engage in yet another PROG episode! So things get heavier, go crazier, and pretty much.. start heavy to begin with. So strap yourself in and enjoy the ride! There’s more than a couple new entries to the show who have albums coming out in May and June, so look forward for more plays for those tracks and bands in the near future.
So push your speakers to the windows and replace your random dose of neighbour-screaming with just loud music blaring outside, because that’s as close to socialization as we’re going to get for the next few months (years?)

The Lunchbox 2021-04-29: News Update; Jennifer McInnis-Wharton; Katrina Slade; Bell Orchestre
- From the concrete to the abstract, art fills us with visions that reflect the things we want to explore or remember. Today, we revisit an interview from 2016 with potter Jennifer McInnis-Wharton and another from abstract artist Katrina Slade recorded in 2019.
- And, we’re nearing the end of April, but that just adds more incentive to keep celebrating Jazz Appreciation Month. This time, it’s me stretching the definition of “jazz” just a little with Bell Orchestre‘s song Recording a Tape… (Typewriter Duo).
- Remember: advanced polls for the municipal elections are open on Saturday from 10am to 8pm, and again on Monday. Find more information about your polling place, visit electionsNB.ca .

This drag fundraising extravaganza is for my dear client and friend Nikki Noiles! Nikkia is such a bright lovely positive person, however she suffers from a very unknown and undetectable disability. She has a rare genetic disorder called dystonia, along with a central tremor. “Dystonia is a movement disorder in which a person’s muscles contract uncontrollably. The contraction causes the affected body part to twist involuntarily, resulting in repetitive movements or abnormal postures. Dystonia can affect one muscle, a muscle group, or the entire body”. She is currently off of work due to her growing symptoms and is currently waiting to go on cpp. The government does not recognize dystonia as a disorder and provides Nikkia no funding for travel and medications. She is currently having to travel to Ottawa to receive her treatment and pay out of pocket for all of her expenses! Without her medication, tremors, along with her dystonia could cause sever health implications in addition to broken bones. Along with a portion from the cover fee being donated to Nikkia, we will also be selling tickets to a basket at the event - Southern Comfort, 9:30pm, Dolan’s Pub (also Saturday) (unverified)

RFYL Episode – InspiredAimEP158
Yet another episode where I still have absolutely no sense of time of anything in particular happening, or where I am, or if there are, in fact, wolves after me. No, instead, I bring you music in order to blare loudly to randomly interrupt your week for at least an hour (more if you play it on repeat).
So I implore you once more – play music loud and preferably with one speaker pointed at another person, so they may also point a speaker at another person, and so on. Let the music share itself!
I’m going crazy and I’m leaving now.
