When do you give up on your “dreams” and become a “real adult”?
My guests today are Len Falkenstein (Director of Drama at UNB, Grand Poobah of Theatre in Fredericton), Abhi/Naga Abhinav Sujal Kamireddy (“Mustard”) and Maham Raza (“Thai”). They join me to talk about the upcoming TheatreUNB presentation of Kat Sandler’s Mustard. In this serious-comedic play, the young adult Thai faces challenges which make her question her relationships, particularly with her imaginary friend, Mustard. They join me to talk about finding their character’s centre, staging a surreal world, and making time for unexpected audience reactions.
Mustard runs February 5 through 8 at 7:30pm nightly at UNB’s Memorial Hall.
