Sessions @ Night (44!) – Hero’s Last Rite!

Long overdue, the band Hero’s Last Rite set up for an intense performance in our humble studio. This session is a bit different – we talk about life as a metal band, an upcoming performance (October 29th, as well as November 26th! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that second one! Hint!), and how they love to get their music out there as opposed to making people pay for their CDs… that’s right! You can get all this music for free! Be sure to listen as I randomly interject between a few songs to tell you names and where you can get your face melted from the awesome thrash metal!

Music Director, out!

Sessions @ CHSR – Episode 43 – Al Lukas!

Hey folks! Matt here from Run For Your Life! I got the chance to interview traveling troubadour Al Lukas about his new album “In My Soul” as well as life on the road, alone or with a band. He got to show off his very bluesy voice while playing all around the rock genre, showing that a man and his acoustic guitar are capable of more than you can imagine!

Be sure to keep an eye out for this guy! And grab his album, while you’re at it!

Sessions @ CHSR – Episode 42 – The Kestrels!

Garage-Rock band Kestrels dropped by the station to tell us all kinds of things: How their tours around the Maritimes work, their motivations, upcoming shows and what garage rock should sound like. Awesome noise-rock at it’s best! Be sure to check this one out – but, if you find the session doesn’t do them justice, they’ll be coming back in November 2011!

Special thanks to Kayne of  The Quiet Inside for operating!
